Growing up is hard to do

Adam and I sat down this week with an Excel sheet (my husband understands spreadsheets, hallelujah) and our bank accounts and money-spending habits and made a budget.  We also have to do several car-payment-y, house-rent-y, insurance-y, grown-up-y things this weekend, which is a lot less cool than our normal weekends of galavanting around the countryside and/or eating vast quantities of breakfast food.

It’s tough to grow up. Although I was voted “least likely to get my power turned off because I didn’t pay a bill” by my lovely roommates, I still would rather not. I don’t want to do grown-up errands on the days when I have my hot husband and the California coast (almost) to myself.   But we’ll do all this grown up stuff together, so I guess it’s worth it. As long as I still get pancakes in-between important business.
