Mo’ pitchas

swing_adamIn honor of Spring having officially sprung, (despite the fact that we have yet to actually feel any warmth) I’ve updated my photo pages accordingly. You’ll get gems such as this! The Flying Nichols!

In other news, we went to a New Orleans Mission Trip reunion last night – I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Adam even got to the frenzied, high-pitched “haha” that makes him sound like he’s about to die of lack of air, which always gets me giggling even harder.

We had enough chocolate chip cookies and pizza to feed an army, which might have been part of the reason for 15 “mature” adults sitting around getting the giggles.  Some of the cookies came from yours truly – anybody have non-fattening ideas for how to get rid of them all? (Trust me, the “eat them with a big glass of milk and some My Boys reruns” idea has occured to me more than once. Don’t encourage it.)

The funniest moment of the night happened while playing “Music Catchphrase” – which completely shut down all competition for a solid minute until we could all catch our breath:

Liz: “Where do we go when we die?”

Jeanna, without missing a beat, thinking twice or pausing in the slightest, yells: “HELL!”

Entire room collapses in laughter, although I guess we should have stopped to examine the state of our souls.

  1. Oh man. I am so thankful for last night! It was amazing!!! Good to see you – your short hair is adorable. And I think that eating all the cookies yourself is actually the ONLY way to go. 🙂

    Love ya Dani!

  2. Wow.
Sounds like you have great friends, Dani.

My husband also went on a mission trip to New Orleans last year. He’s hoping to go back. A powerful experience for him.

  3. I do what I can to add to the hilarity of every day. Apparently that night I succeeded in a grandiose fashion, though it seems I should evaluate my view of where I’m going in the after-life.
