A Grand Passion

Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of Solitaire. It is a grand passion. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I hinted at having gotten a job in my last blog, and rather than continue to tease you with vague clues, (as much fun as that is) here’s the deal. I’m a Therapeutic Riding Instructor for a horse ranch that specializes in teaching horseback riding lessons to kids with disabilities.

I

AM

SO

EXCITED.

It’s challenging, creative, terrifying, beautiful, heart-warming and amazing all at once. It’s a return to the Grand Passion, a recollection of hopes and dreams and skills long dormant.  I have a lot to learn about this new frontier, but cannot wait to embrace it. Prayers are needed, thanksgiving is in order.
