The Vacation Odyssey Continues: Kauai!

Getting on the plane to Kauai! I look ready for a wilderness trek, right?

I was informed that many of you were very sad when I didn’t keep my promise about a timely post of new vacation pictures. So you DO love vacation slideshow nights after all! Mwah hahahaha! I did that on purpose, just to see if you would notice. (In other news, my blogs disappeared for two days thanks to a server issue. I love you, too, Internet!)

After just a couple days in Oahu, we were off to Kauai, aka The Garden Island. Jungles and waterfalls, here we come!

Our first look at Kauai from the plane.
One of the first things we did was find this waterfall. It's 127 feet tall!
We decided to go for a hike on the Kuilau trail. This is the sign and some super-sized grass.
Once we got to the top, I was pretty stoked about the view.
Adam was pretty stoked about his seasoned meat snack stick from Wal-Mart. Bringin' the classy.
We love hiking! (And matching, apparently.)

After our hike, we decided to go to the beach. Once there, we made a couple of friends:

There are wild chickens everywhere, and the roosters are not shy about voicing their opinions.
Stop looking so crabby. *knee slap* Get it?!

After making friends on the beach, we went snorkeling. We have a waterproof camera, but I’ll spare you the endless pictures of blurry rocks and sand. Don’t say I never did anything for you.

I loved this little guy. So pretty!
This was my favorite fish.

More pictures to come. We hiked the Na Pali coast, snorkeled off a boat and wore matching hats some more. You’ll love it.
