When a bajillion words is not enough

My dears, I got very long-winded in the last magazine piece I’ve been writing, and was pretty sure that I was being really ridiculous and English-major-y (no offense, fellow JMC peeps, you got me, right?) only to discover after visit #83 to the Writer’s Guidelines that said piece needs to be roughly SEVENTEEN HUNDRED words longer.

So forgive me for my erratic and moody blogging. I’ve got several hundred words floating out there, somewhere in between a piece of pound cake and some inspiring music and more Diet Coke. ‘Cause that’s what revs writers up when they are stuck. Or so I hear.
