A really pointless story about gardening

Adam loves green and growing things. I tend to kill them, despite my best intentions. Back in 2007, I bought Adam come leafies, hoping to satisfy his urge for a “green space”, and they’ve been molding on the deck ever since. I say molding, because though the little guys can definitely not be said to flourish, there’s still green in there. Makes sense.

Last night, after being inspired by Colorado wildflowers and an urge to spend more time with dirt under my fingernails (we can call it a post-vacation crisis of HATING THE INTERNET. We’re cool now, though.) my hubby and I went to Home Depot and used a remaining wedding gift card to buy flowers.

I spent several hours this morning with a garden hose and potting soil and sunshine. Bliss.

(Crossing my fingers and hoping they live out the week. Advice is appreciated, as I am a known Green Thing Torturer.)
